The simple method

Brew hot. Serve sparkling.

01 · Prepare & strain

Make your normal hot herbal tea using the quantity, time and preparation instructions for that particular pouch. Strain out the plant material. Each herb keeps its own directions.

02 · Cool & add ice

Cool the prepared tea promptly. Pour it into a clean glass over ice. Use clean utensils and drinking water.

03 · Finish with bubbles

Top with cold, plain sparkling water, stir gently and enjoy. Add it to taste; this is a serving finish, not a new dry-herb recipe.

En español: Prepara cada hierba según su propia bolsa, cuela, enfría y sirve con hielo. Añade agua con gas al final y endulza solo si quieres.

Keep brewed tea refrigerated at 40°F / 4°C or colder. Refrigerate promptly within two hours, or one hour above 90°F / 32°C. Add sparkling water only when serving. Do not carbonate tea in a machine unless the manufacturer permits it.

Your tea. Your sweetness.

You choose the sweetness.

Start with your herbal infusion and plain sparkling water. Leave it unsweetened, or choose the sweetener and amount you prefer.

Some ready-to-drink teas contain added sugar; others are unsweetened. Preparing your own lets you decide what you add.

Tú decides si endulzar, con qué y cuánto. Revisa también la etiqueta del agua con gas que elijas.

A few things to know

Is this a new way to brew the herb?

No. Keep the normal hot preparation for your specific product. This page only changes how the strained, cooled tea is served.

Can I replace one herb with any other?

No. Each botanical has its own identity, plant part, preparation and precautions. This page does not recommend every product in our catalog for a sparkling drink, and it does not suggest mixing several herbs together.

Who are these serving ideas for?

Adults who can already use the selected herbal tea according to its label. Follow all product warnings. Ask a qualified healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for children, with a medical condition or while taking medication. Avoid products that conflict with your allergies or treatment.

Gordolobo requires careful fine filtration. For Gordolobo and milk thistle, consider allergies to related Asteraceae plants. Do not assume that a botanical extract, capsule or another plant part has the same preparation as the dried herb.

Are all the teas the same color?

No. Our serving illustrations follow the color families in our existing product imagery: amber guava, reddish Muicle, golden leaf/flower infusions, and the variable blue reflection of Palo Azul. These are illustrations, not a promise of an exact color or a guaranteed blue effect.

Can I use tonic water instead?

These serving ideas use plain sparkling water. Tonic water has different ingredients and changes the drink.

Is this a bottled drink?

No. Gabio Green sells dried botanicals. You prepare the tea and add your own ice and sparkling water.
